A last-minute drop-goal from Phil Godman earned Edinburgh a vital Heineken Cup victory over Racing Metro in France.
The result keeps Michael Bradley’s men at the top of Pool Two and moves the Scots close to their first quarter-final place in eight years.
Edinburghdominated the match, with Ross Rennie, Netani Talei and David Denton scored for the visitors with Racing scoring three tries of their own.
However Godman stepped up to snatch the points for Edinburgh in dramatic fashion.
French international Sebastien Chabal made his presence felt before Rennie crossed the line for the game’s first try.
Francois Steyn responded for the hosts before Talei broke through to restore Edinburgh’s advantage.
Juan Imhoff levelled the game before Denton again edged Bradley’s side infront.
But Antoine Battut looked to have given both teams a share of the spoils until Godman’s kick.
