Ian Keatley inspired Munster to a precious home win over Glasgow Warriors to take them above the Scots in the RaboDirect PRO12 table.

Keatley kicked 20 points for the hosts as they recorded a vital win for their own play-off hopes.

Tries from Luke O'Dea and Peter O'Mahony gave Munster the edge at half-time as they went in 18-6 ahead.

But Scotland international Stuart Hogg scored two tries in five minutes to bring Sean Lineen’s team back into the game.

Keatley was in no made to share the headlines and he added to his tally before the talented Hogg scored a late consolation try to complete his hat-trick.

Firing over from the left-side he kept the Irish side on track at 27-19 and the decision to sin bin Glasgow’s Federico Aramburu helped tighten their grip of proceedings.

Warriors now sit fourth in the table on 57 points, one ahead of Ulster and three behind Munster.
