Francesco Molinari leads the Scottish Open heading into the final round after shooting a third round 67 at Castle Stuart.

The Italian holds a one-shot advantage over Denmark’s Anders Hansen with countryman Soren Kjeldsen a further stroke back.

Scottish pair Marc Warren and Martin Laird are still in contention on 15 under and 14 under par respectively. Both players went round in 64 on Saturday to sit in the top ten alongside Peter Whiteford.

Phil Mickelson followed up a strong round on Friday with a 64 to sit just three strokes behind Molinari.

World number one and defending champion Luke Donald was still in the hunt at 13 under after sinking a 20-foot par putt on the short eighth.

And after missing the event last year, France’s Thomas Levet has put his recent poor spell behind him to sit level with Donald.
