Scotland will travel to Australasia in June to play a trio of Test matches against top opposition.
The national team will kick off their tour with a match against Australia in Newcastle, New South Wales on June 5 before travelling to tackle Fiji in Lautoka on June 16.
The tour will conclude seven days later with a test match against Samoa in Apia.
Andy Robinson will take a squad of 32 players on the trip and the head coach said that he was hoping that his Glasgow and Edinburgh players would continue their run of promising form when on international duty.
“This will be a tough, full-on tour and I’ve been pleased with the form of many of the contenders for places within both the Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors teams over the last few weeks,” he said.
“We have seen a fantastic victory by Edinburgh over Toulouse in the Heineken Cup quarter-final and Glasgow remain on course for the play-offs in the RaboDirect PRO12, having displayed ruthlessness in their win against Cardiff Blues.”
In addition to the three test matches, a Scotland XV will play New South Wales Waratahs Sydney Football Stadium on June 10.
